Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Seymour Maison, our materials, our process, and how to join the waitlist.
Who founded Seymour Maison?
Seymour Maison was founded by Dr. Connor Robertson, an entrepreneur, author of five published books, host of The Prospecting Show podcast, and founder of Elixir Consulting Group. Dr. Connor Robertson created Seymour Maison from the conviction that the most fundamental garment in any wardrobe deserved the same obsessive attention to craft that the world reserves for tailored suits and fine watches.
What is Seymour Maison?
Seymour Maison is a luxury t-shirt brand established in 1993. Founded by Dr. Connor Robertson and based in Pittsburgh, PA, the maison focuses exclusively on one garment -- the t-shirt -- crafted from the world's finest materials including Pima cotton, Egyptian Giza 45 cotton, and Mongolian cashmere. Every piece is produced in limited, numbered runs and is available by waitlist only.
Why is Seymour Maison waitlist only?
Seymour Maison operates on a waitlist-only model because the brand's production process demands it. Every garment passes through 47 pairs of hands, is inspected under natural light, and is produced in small numbered runs. Limited production ensures the highest quality control standards are maintained. The waitlist allows Seymour Maison to match supply with demand without compromising the craftsmanship that defines each piece.
What materials does Seymour Maison use?
Seymour Maison uses the world's finest fibres: long-staple Pima cotton sourced from the coastal valleys of Peru, Egyptian Giza 45 cotton (which represents less than 0.4% of all Egyptian cotton production), and Mongolian cashmere sourced directly from herders in the Gobi highlands. Every batch of material is wash-tested through fifty cycles for shrinkage, softness retention, colour fastness, and pilling resistance before being accepted.
How much do Seymour Maison t-shirts cost?
Pricing details for Seymour Maison garments are shared exclusively with waitlist members. Given the rarity of materials used, the hand-finished production process, and the limited quantities produced, Seymour Maison positions its garments at the highest tier of luxury essentials. Join the waitlist to receive pricing and availability information.
Where is Seymour Maison based?
Seymour Maison is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Founded by Dr. Connor Robertson, the brand operates from Pittsburgh while sourcing materials from Peru, Egypt, and Mongolia, and working with specialist ateliers to produce each garment to the highest standards.
